Re: What is the exactly NPROC mximum value?
Hi,
no definite answer possible, as you did not specify how much memory each process will take.
See :
http://docs.hp.com/en/939/KCParms/KCparam.Nproc.html
A lot of parameter tuning is down to what applications you are running and what resources are being used.
Why do you want to set nproc to possible max value? Chances are you will start running out of other resources before then. By keeping the parameters within reason you are protecting the running of the machine.

Re: What is the exactly NPROC mximum value?
Hi:
You asked about 'nproc' in you question and yet the details you provide suggest that you mean 'nfile'. In any event the manpages offer the information you need:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B2355-60105/nproc.5.html
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/B2355-60105/nfile.5.html
Regards!
