auto fs hpux 11.31 port number

Hi Team,

i have a cluster  package (MCSG 11.20 on HPUX 11.31)  and HANFS is configured and this HANFS share is exported  to multiple clients on same vlan .my cleints(all are HPUX 111.31)  are able to mount the share through autofs .this is current setup .now let me  go to the  issue ..

i have another client which is in different vlan (since its different valn ,FIREWALL come in between my clustr node which is having HANFS  and my  new cleint -client name "test3" ) and i need to configure this client also to mount the same HANFS share through autofs ...i hv configured  autofs on cleint .but when i am accessing the share its jung hang and geetting timeout after sometime ...

so my question ,here is whether HANFS/AUTOFS is not using normal NFS3 ports ?,.becauze i hv allowed ALL NFS3 ports communication between my client and server ..however still its not working ..any clue ?.

   What, exactly, does "ALL NFS3 ports" mean to you?

Hi Steven,

ALL NFS3 ports means ,i have allowed  in my firewall (Network firewall -Juniper )  for   NFS  protocol 3  ports  (both tcp/udp) which was showing in    rcpinfo -p "NFS SERVER"    ..

autofs is using any other ports other than  statd/mounted/lockd ports any clue what is causing the issue ?
