So from where are you getting "root FS 100% " error? from MP or anywhere else?

repeated alerts being mailed from dmesg:

msgcnt 617 vxfs: mesg 001: vx_nospace - /dev/root file system full (1 block extent)

Are you logging on as root?
If so, you may have to reboot in single user mode to clean up some space.

Re: cannot ssh to rp4440 via putty or console - root FS 100%

Is the server monitored by OV ?

If yes from the OV management server

/ # /opt/OV/bin/ovdeploy -cmd "bdf" -host

Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on

/dev/vg00/lvol3 458752 458752 0 100% /

and obviously if the above works you can use rm to remove offending files or mv them off the root partition

Re: cannot ssh to rp4440 via putty or console - root FS 100%

hi

login via mp

cm>pc -off

> pc -on

interupt in pdc
bo pri
boot in to single user mode : hpux -is

mount /usr
mount /var

it may ask for running filesystem check

fsck -y lvolname

rm the unwanted files.

note: required to check what has filled up the root file system.

If System Management Homepage is installed you can execute command I think on the tools menu even when filesystem is 100% full.
