cannot view logical volumes inside SAM

cannot view logical volumes inside SAM

i have problem when trying to access logical volumes list thru SAM>>Disks and file systems>>logical volumes. The SAM seem cannot do its job while retrieving information..can anyone help me?

Any error messages? Anything in the samlog?

Please send information which operating system and type of the machine, and also are the disks internal or external.

there is no error message and not sure about the samlog. could you explain me to reach there?

Apologies, I should have told you to use strings as it's not a simple text file.

The relevant bit seems to be "Failed in retrieving disk array configuration." Does it show up if you run

ioscan -fnC disk ?

I've just checked error 5 in the file /usr/include/sys/errno.h: i/o error, which would tend to fit in with what appears in the samlog. Have you run the ioscan yet?

Hi

there are 2 things you can do, first, like says mark, run "ioscan -fnC disk" , the other one "armdiscover"
