OK, I ran cd cpm_collect.sh and got a few custom patch bundles. Problem is, after downloading them to the system, I am getting errors.
Even though I chose the same output format (tar) for both, the first file got saved as .tar and the second as .zip (when I explicitly said .tar). There is obviously a bug in process.
Now when I try to untar the first .tar file, I get checksum error, and I cannot do anything with the first one, neither uncompress nor gunzip will do anything with the .zip extension.
I have to start all over it appears and pick a different extension.

Re: custom patch bundle problems
I thought I was careful to say "bin" when ftping... but perhaps there was a typo or it got corrupt anyway.
still doesn't explain the mystery of the .zip extension when I am pretty certain I never selected it. This has happened to me on more than one occasion.
i am redoing the whole thing with .tgz extension.

Re: custom patch bundle problems
Shalom etc,
Often happens etc, even when we think we are careful.
I avoid it as follows:
I use ftp script option to get patch sets when this is permitted.
If not, I use a browser on the system itself, mozilla to build and download patch sets directly to the server. Saves me having to think ascii, bin, ascii, bin, which did I do. Gives me a headache.
