hi,
non media error is related to time out error when controller send request to read on the hdd, this is not a media problem, and it is a recovery one, this can also related to a logical problem registered by a netraid controller, perform a consitency check on your raid.

Hi ,

If its a disk time out problem.
you can extend time out value fort PV by
#pvchange -t
increase this value to a good one.
will solve timeout problem.
