/opt/sfm/vacuum?

The following entry was apparently added to root's crontab on a couple of 11.23 systems when I updated OnlineDiag to the Dec 2007 release.

# Entry for vacuuming the EMT CER DB
5 1 * * * /opt/sfm/vacuum

There is no /opt/sfm/vacuum. Is this something that shouldn't have been installed in 11.23 root crontabs or did some fileset not get installed that should have been? Anyone seen this? (Google and Yahoo searches weren't helpful at all.)

Re: /opt/sfm/vacuum?

Must be related to system fault management (SFM).

Hope this helps!

Re: /opt/sfm/vacuum?

Hi Jeff,
Yes, it's SFM. I think that what's actually happened is that you've upgraded from an older version of SFM, which had /opt/sfm/vacuum included. The new version does not have it, but the crontab entry did not get removed.

It's safe to remove the entry from crontab.

If it really was added by the upgrade, please post a follow-up and I'll look into it further.

Re: /opt/sfm/vacuum?

Thanks, Andrew. That's probably what it was then. I did upgrade to the Dec. 2007 version from whatever installed off the OS installation media. If there was any mentionn of this remnant in the documentation for the new version, I was lazy and didn't read it. :)
