overlapping partitions - do I have them?

Sybase support has asked me to look for overlapping partitions. How do I do this? I hope this is the right forum.

What is your Operating System?

It's kind of difficult to have overlapping partitions?.. isn't it?

If your OS is windows based I'd recommend checking out Norton Utilities which should be able to repair it..
you can get that from norton.com or tucows.com for example..

If your OS is hp-ux, well then we'll need more info..
You can collect all your system info via a tool found at http://www.grc.hp.com/docs/nickel/

I am on an HP I70 with 10.20. We are in the process of migrating to a new box with 11i. But an error from Sybase indicated that there might be corrupt data in the database. The support guy said that this might be hardware related and asked me to look for overlapping partitions.
