problem while installing oracle 9i on 11.11.

Hi All,

I am trying to install Oracle 9i on a HP-UX system installed with 11.11

While installation of Oracle, it is giving me some linking errors.

Can any one tell me what are the pre-requisite patches need to be applied before installation os Oracle 9i on Hp-UX 11.11?

Hi Prasad,

What is the exact error message that your experiencing.

Refer to Note :149556.1 "Install Quick Start: 9.0.1 (64 bit) HP-UX 11" in Oracle Metalink.

Please provide more information.

Hi Prasad,

I installed Oracle 9.0.1 to HP-UX 11.11 three months ago. I used the following patches. As i read from the following thread that you have tried required patches for 11.00.
I hadn't found any Oracle document which offer patches for 11.11. So i found these after a long investigation.
If you have a chance try them in a test environment according to any error. ;)

I assume that, you installed Quality Pack for HP-UX 11.11.
I had used that one: GOLDQPK11i_B.11.11.0509.429

Meanwhile as i remembered you have to change some kernel parameters. Whenever i found them, i will inform you.

I made a big mistake that i realized it after i posted the message.
These patches for 11.00. I found my installation document and i remembered that i had installed it to 11.00 and later i upgraded the system from HP-UX 11.00 to 11.11. I apologize very very much.
I will check the installaion again.

I will try with the list of patches that you have specified.

But, I am not sure of the Quality Pack and Gold Pack thing. Does this matter what pack it is?

I am so sorry again. I completed a few oracle installation here. so my documents have mixed. :( These are the patches for oracle, - i have applied - after the system upgrade from 11.00 to 11.11 .
but i am looking for my oracle installation documents to 11.11.
