There is also a known bug which can cause this kind of error

 

 

      PHKL_41594: 11.31 VRTS 5.0.1 GARP3P5 VRTSvxfs Kernel Patch

      SYMANTEC Incident Number:  2160728 (2106668)

      A write operation followed by an fsadm(1M) resize operation

      may cause an error and generate the following message:

      "write error : File too big"
