Re: swinstall
Restart the sw agent:
# /usr/sbin/swagentd -r
Then, try the install again interactively:
# swinstall
Following the screen instructions to provide info.

Re: swinstall
Check whether swagentd is running.
/sbin/init.d/swagentd start

Re: swinstall
Whether the swagentd is running or not, the first thing to try is restarting it:
/sbin/init.d/swagentd stop
/sbin/init.d/swagentd start
You might also want to verify that hostname resolution is functioning properly: try nslookup by hostname and by ipaddress to check.

Re: swinstall
U please kill the swagentd process and then start it. Some times killing the process and starting it will work rather than stop and start.
Regards
VJ.
