the new syslog in rhel6

We centrally log all the messages to the central server and RHEL's new rsyslog has a few problems in terms of timestamp and following other protocols while communicating messages remotely to the centralised server. Have anyone thought about this or having the same issues?

Have you already checked http://www.rsyslog.com/faq/ ?

 

Yes, we had some issues while learning to use rsyslog properly. Since you did not describe your problems, I have no way of knowing if they were the same as yours.
