Re: unable to login as root ( Account is disabled - see Account Administrator)

Hope everyone received their points? I've been having problems accessing the itrc.
I did reset the system from the GSP, boot the system into single user mode, and reset root password along with modprpw -k root.
All is fine now. I used sam to change failed logins from default "3".

Re: unable to login as root ( Account is disabled - see Account Administrator)

Hi i had the same prob. Though this post is helpful but i'm a newbie so little bit worried about live system.

"/usr/lbin/modprpw -k root" does this command work from other user to unlock root user.

PLZ help.

>/usr/lbin/modprpw -k root does this command work from other user to unlock root user.

Of course not.  Only a root user or the sudo equivalent can do this.

But you should be able to login as root on the console, as Robert-Jan said.
