unused LUNS
what would be the best way to find unsed luns on a RHEL5 server running PowerPath5.5. I need to find those unsed luns and remove them so that storage could reclaim
Thanks

Re: unused LUNS
Get a list of all your /dev/emcpower* devices, then compare to your database configuration to find out which of those are still in use and cross them out of your list. The remaining will be unused.
Using "fuser" or similar command to identify which devices are currently open is not 100% reliable solution: a DBA might have a database down for maintenance at the moment you run your command, or the database engine might not have all the devices open all the time, for reasons known only by the programmers at the Oracle Company.
Looking at the contents of the disks is not 100% reliable either: the data of a database that has been shut down because it's no longer required is not trivially distinguishable from a data of a database that is only temporarily shut down for maintenance.
In a nutshell: if there is no pre-existing documentation on your configuration, you'll have to make some now. As far as I know, there is no magic way to do it automatically.
