update-ux question
Hi!
I've updated system with update-ux from local filesystem using "update-ux -s /cdrom HPUX11i-OE" command. first hp-ux dvd iso image was mounted to /cdrom. As i can see, update ran successfully, but now i'm not sure - should i mount second dvd iso and run update-ux once more?

Re: update-ux question
Is it a virtual machine or a system that can mount ISOs directly?
However, the system expects the second DVD on the same or path/mount point, it will ask you for swap DVD 1 out and DVD 2 in, then it will continue.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: update-ux question
It's a physical server. I mounted the iso file locally in with mount_cdfs.
It didn't ask me anythig after reboot - system just started as usual after update, without any questions during update.

Re: update-ux question
So I assume the second DVD was not needed.
Usually you see something like this, if the second disc is needed:
* Software installation of this source (B7994 11.23 Mission Critical OE:
DVD1) is complete.
=======================================================================
USER INTERACTION REQUIRED:
To complete the installation you must now insert the
"B7994 11.23 Mission Critical OE: DVD2" CD.
Once this is done, press the <Return> key to continue:
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: update-ux question
Can i check somehow if the installation was done completely? Or update-ux is just smart enough and even without -i parameter should tell me if it'll need the second disk?

Re: update-ux question
you can check the update-ux log file ( /var/adm/sw/update-ux.log) for details about the last installation status.
