Re: user licence upgrades

HP is not the only source of license upgrades. :)

You may purchase a refurbished board (swap actually) from a 3rd party reseller that has the number of licenses you need. As these boards were manufactured before HP stopped selling the 9x7 line they are perfectly good and are eligible for maintenance from HP. They would be a LOT cheaper than a new 9x9 machine. www.3k.com and other sites have lists of 3rd party resellers, just pick three, give them your specs and let them beat each other over the head trying to give you a lower price.

Re: user licence upgrades

Yes.

Ask HP for a quote to upgrade your user licence (You might need a stiff drink after)
or buy a new/second user machine with a larger user licence.

Re: user licence upgrades

The HP 3000 Series 9x7 systems were discontinued in June of 1996. The Series 9x7 upgrade kits and software licenses were discontinued on June 1997. After June 1997, HP will not accept orders for these upgrade.

As a replacement product, look for Series 9x8 or 9x9; see following URL for more details: http://www.mpeixservers.hp.com/index.html
