What is the difference between ovc and opcagt command?

Hello.

With the HTTPS agent opcagt is mostly a wrapper for ovc command, with some other options. You can check what it does since it's a shell script.

opcagt provides you status of only sub agents.

ovc provides more information inerms of the other process such as BBC.

ovc -verbose option will provide you information interms of what it does, when you issue ovc -start -verbose.

opcagt -status will also show you if messages are buffering, I find that quite useful.

Gennerally speeking opc commands are original (legacy) commands while ov commands are enahanced once.

opcagt is controlling services which category Agent ( opcagt equals ovc -status AGENT )

Opcagt has clearing buffer data feature (opcagt -cleanstart) "personnely I do not trust that this is working"

    on the online help you will find the details between the two command as well as the available switches for both.
