DAT 40

I have received a DDS-2 tape which I need to read. It has data archived on it using TAR. However our DAT40 drives are installed on NT Server rather than Unix. Is there a method of reading Unix TAR created tapes on a drive connected to NT?

Hello Bob,

I found an application that allows you to read TAR archives in Windows. It can be found at http://www.spiralcomm.com/ .

Please keep in mind that this has not been tested by HP, so I can't assure you it will work in the way you need it to. . .
