Data Protector Express

Hi.
I have a Tape DAT 72 USB, and I use the "data protector express".
When I do the job of backup, in the log I receive backup completed, but I receive error 85.
I send you the log attachment

What operating system are you running?

This error usually comes from trying to do a DR backup on Windows 64 Bit Version or Vista.

To stop the error, go into your backup specification -> options -> advanced options -> and remove the check next to any of the DR options.

Yes, I use a 64 bit System.
Now I try to unchek the DR Option..
But what is a "DR support"?!

Dave, I thought DPE won't run on a 64bit system?!?!

That is correct. Data Protector Express 3.1 is not supported on Win x64. It fails when it tries to backup the registry and other system state information.

We are currently working on Win X64 and also Vista support and expect to have it available soon. Check back on http://hp.com/go/dataprotectorexpress for this and other news.

And now for the new I promised.

On Monday we announced the Release of Data Protector Version 3.5 which includes support for 64 bit Windows as well as AES 256 Encryption. The upgrade files should be on hp.com on Monday, May 21.
