HP 1/8 G2 LTO-4 ULTRIUM 1760 SAS TAPE AUTOLOADER -Tapes change procedure

Hi,

Please some one answer immediately.

I have recently installed HP 1/8 G2 LTO-4 ULTRIUM 1760 SAS TAPE AUTOLOADER and configured it working as configured.

in the Tape Autoloaderusing slot 0 as Mail slot (slot is Empty), and In slot1 to slot7 inserted tapes, now out of 7 tapes from Autoloader 4 tapes been utilized in the tapeautoloader for backup,

which i saw in the symantec admin console "tape summery report".

Now when slot 5 tape is full, What is the procedure to remove the tape.

and how to insert the tape in slot 5.

the autoloader can be configured to work in stacker mode or random mode

if you use it in Random mode, the backup application should take care of the tape, and load the one is needed according to the backup application configuration
If you use it in stacker mode, the autoloade load the next tape when the previous is full, untill all tapes are filled up.

The stacker or random mode can be change in the Remote Management Interface of the autoloader
