Restoring Hyper-V machine to a different server
Hi,
I'm newbie with DPE (Basic edition) 6.0.
Simulating a crash scenario i would want to know how to restore an unique Hyper-V machine backed up with DPE to a different target server.
The backup on the LTO media must contain the full system disk and all the Hyper-V machines but I see the next issue trying to recover:
- If I try to recover the Hyper-V machine it fails so DPE do not locate the target server and there is no possibility to "move" to another server.
- If I try to recover the filesystem, as there is possibility to "move" to a different location, I can't find the VHD file associated to this production Hyper-V machine.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance.
