Write protect in DLT IV Data cartridge
I have used a DLT IV Data Cartridge for a backup and I have verified it correctly, in a "Tape Autoloader Model 1/9".
After several days later, I wanted to read it in the same drive but the padlock icon appears on the display, and it is impposible to read or write it.
I have cheked that the write protect switch is to the right to allow data recording on the cartridge. Orange indicator cannot be seen.

Re: Write protect in DLT IV Data cartridge
You have the wrie protect switch in the right place. (to the right). The orange tab may not be present in all.

Re: Write protect in DLT IV Data cartridge
Thank you for your message. I have cheked that the write protect switch is to the right to allow data recording on the cartridge. Any way I only want to read the tape, but with the padlock icon is impossible.
