Connecting a SC44GE HBA to an internal Ultrium 920 SAS tape drive on Proliant ML350 G5
Hello.
Could someone please help me before I pull all of my hair out?
I have a Proliant ML350 G5 server running WIndows server 2003.
Our old tape drive stopped working recently so I needed to purchase a replacement. Our old drive was SCSI but I decided to buy an Ultrium 920 SAS INTERNAL drive and a SC44GE HBA to connect it. The HP site says that THE REQUIRED CABLE IS INCLUDED WITH THE TAPE DRIVE to connect to the HBA but this is not correct!
Could someone please tell me the product number of the SAS cable that I need to buy in order to use my new tape drive?
Many Thanks!
Neil

AP746A should be the right cable for your internal drive.
