Re: HP StorageWorks Autoloader 1/8 LTO3

Thanks,

I without checking the terminator light I think you have cracked the problem. If the SCSI card is only 40mbps anyway I am going to buy a new one and do away with the only one. Can you recommend a suitable SCSI controller to purchase?

Thanks,

Lee.

Re: HP StorageWorks Autoloader 1/8 LTO3

These are the two HP HBA's recommended for use with the LTO3 drives:

268351-B21 Ultra320, LVD, Dual Channel, VHDCI
374654-B21 Ultra320, LVD, Single Channel, VHDCI

For 3rd party HBA's the Adaptec and LSI Ultra 320 HBA's are the most common.

Re: HP StorageWorks Autoloader 1/8 LTO3

That one should work great. That is an Adaptec 39320. Only the 29320 is specifically listed in the compatibility matrix at www.hp.com/go/ebs but the 39320 is simply the dual port version of the 29320.

Re: HP StorageWorks Autoloader 1/8 LTO3

I have old server ML350G3. I've read that it supports 268351-B21 Ultra320, LVD, Dual Channel, VHDCI

What about compatibility with [AH165A] HP 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader (based on Ultrium 920 Ultra320 LVD SCSI ) ?

I'm asking, because this Autoloader is not listed on compatibility list of ML350G3 tape drives:http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11430_div/11430_div.HTML#Options

There is only older version, not G2. Will this device AH165A talk to 268351-B21 Ultra320, LVD, Dual Channel, VHDCI properly under Windows 2003 R2 (x86) ??? Regards
