Issue with HP 1/8 G2 Autoloader LTO Ultrium-4 Drive
The drive is connected to a HP P440ar Smary Array zero memory controller via SAS cable.
The Server 2012 R2 Host recognizes and has the latest HP drivers for the tape drive. When I open HP Library and Tape Tools its see the device. When I try to read the device I get these errors:
Waiting for I/O request to complete Pending command 3B (write buffer)
etc, and it will do this for hours and freeze and fail. Something is not reading correctly.
I have tried rebooting server, tape deck, etc
I have all of the latest drivers for windows. I tried with and without brand new LTO tapes in drive.
Any ideas on what to try??
Much appreciated!!!
Attatched a screenshot of the error I get

Re: Issue with HP 1/8 G2 Autoloader LTO Ultrium-4 Drive
I also get this error some times:
"An error occured while accessing the device. If the device has been hot plugged or firmware updated then please try a re-scan to rediscover the device"
Which I try then sometimes it comes back and the errors just repeat.
