A backup was still in process when the library was open. A new tape was placed in the slot were the tape that was backing was suppose to put back. How can I get the tape out? I cannot see it, but it has to be in there? Again not sure how to retrieve it. Thanks Lisa

Hello Lisa,

try a rescan of the library so that you backup software can get an actual view of the tape in it. Other way: Try a manual remove by the onscreen display at the front of the library.

Hi Lisa, have you set up the web console access?

If so, you can login to the web console and do a scan to locate the tape. However, the easiest way would be to remove all magazines either using the front panel console or through the web console.

If ther tape isnt in any of the 24 slots, then its definately in the drive. So, you can move it from the drive to any of the slots or the mailslot if you have that enabled and remove it.
