Re: Repeated Slider Blocked on 1/8G2-LTO4SAS with FW update

Usually this is a pure mechanical problem, if a power cycle doesn't help consider to replace the unit.

Hope this helps!

Be sure the library is correctly hang in the rack

Be sure there is nothing on top of it, like cartridges, keyboards, or anything else

Consider to remove the magazine and check inside for dust or barcode sticker they may be on the picker path

Re: Repeated Slider Blocked on 1/8G2-LTO4SAS with FW update

I realize this is an old thread - but though I would have something useful to share.  I had similar problems with the sled in a 1/8 G2 autoloader generating the 9B C4 error.

I tried the usual suggestions of; power cycle, inspect magazines, adn run wellness test without successess.

What did work was opening the top cover.  I cleaned the black deposites that had accumulated where the tape sled moves to the front and back of the unit.  I also wiped the sensor used to detect the tape slots.  I then gently moved the tape sled to the very far end of its travel.

Once the unit was put back together and powered up - it worked!
