Ultrium 920 LTO-3 SCSI fails LTT 4.16 Installation test with Sense Key 0x05 error
Hi all,
While our Ultrium-3 SCSI (latest firmware on WinSrv2008SP2&/x64(D22D/Standalone) according to LTT) seems to work without errors - but rather slow! - during daily operations, we are stuck in our efforts to improve performance by the following errors in HP Library and Tape Tools (6.0):
1) "Installation check" gets unresponsive in "Drive Cooling\File system characteristics on local disks allow optimum performance" with the message: "Sense Key 0x05, Sense Code 0x2600 (Operator selected invalid field in parameter list)".
2) The LTT Test "LTO Drive Assessment" refuses to execute with obviously misleading error messages: “The cartridge currently loaded in the drive is write protected.”, “This test cannot be performed on a write protected cartridge.” and “This test cannot be performed on a write protected cartridge.”
LTT Firmware, Health, Dev Perf, Sys Perf as well as other Test Groups however report everything to be OK.
I attach the LTT log-files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Library and Tape Tools\logs and hope that someone have a good idea or advise to help us out.
Kind regards
