tape loading problem
When I loaded a tape into the DLT80, the 'tape in use' light blinks, all lights on, a buzzer sound and keeps repeating the sequence. Could you please tell me what's wrong? How do I unload the tape stuck in the driver?

Re: tape loading problem
Hello,
That happens quite often, it's usually a cartridge problem, which you have to replace. Inspect the cartridge first.
To remove the tape, you can force an eject by pressing the eject button for 5 seconds, or pressing the button 3 times in a row.
HTH,
Vince

Re: tape loading problem
Thanks for reply, Vince.
I tried hitting unload button 3 times in a row and holding 5 seconds but still the catridge would not unload. What else can I try?

Re: tape loading problem
Hello,
Does it try to unload when you do the emergency eject? Usually it tries but then it is stuck again. Try to do it multiple times until it ejects.

Vince
