Re: can anyone help me find an answer of this question?

Hello Cafer

Local Replications consists of Snapshot, Snapclone & Mirrorclone. All three are different solutions. User can choose the one which fits better based on his Requirement. Among your above statements d) is partially true.

A snapclone is an independent, point-in-time copy of a virtual disk. Its available for use( Presenting and mounting on Host) just after creation. Data would be copying in back ground. It becomes an independent Vdisk after the copy process completes.

Use snapclones when you need independent and durable copies; for example, for data mining, data warehousing, or preproduction testing.

For more details, you may read â Replicating storageâ section of Command View User Guide available at http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01800883/c01800883.pdf

Re: can anyone help me find an answer of this question?

a)the snapclone is available as a mirrorclone.
- no, different technologies
b)the snapclone is available as a fully-allocated snapshot
- bascially, yes, once copying is complete
c)the snapclone is available as a deman-allocated snapshot
- no, that is not how it works
d)the snapclone is available after the copy process completes
- Yes, but it is actually "available" when the copy process starts, but will not be independant of the original disk until the copy process finishes. Sort-of a trick quesiton.
