QTP 11 not identifying Java Applet Objects with JRE 1.7.0_51

We were earlier using QTP 11 with JRE 1.6.0_27 at that time it was able to identify objects on java applet. But now application is not supporting JRE 1.6.0_27 and new supported version is 1.7.0_51.

When we try to identify objects using object Spy it displays the objects as winObject/Awt Canvas.

We already have Java add in installed and tried running QTP as administrator.

After installing QTP 11, Application started hanging and it worked fine after we removed _JAVA_OPTIONS and JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environment variables. Now application is running fine but Java oapplet objects are not being recognized. Please help us in finding solution for this. Large part of our application is running on Java applets and we are evaluating QTP if it would be able to meet our requirements for automating the functionality so that we can propose the same to customer to purchase licensce.

Thanks in advance...!!

Hello Ashish,

Do you have installed the hotfix  QTPJV_00057 (support for Java 1.7)?

Regards.
