UFT 11.52 crashes setting config options for Text Editor, Fonts and Colors

I am seeing consistent crashing of UFT, when attempting to access Tools-->Options, Options dialog, Text Editor tab, Font and Colors settings.  UFT crashes immediately on clicking "Font and Colors" icon, error detail is "Font 'Lucida Sans' does not support style 'Regular', thrown by System.Drawing in method CreateNativeFont().  (Full dump is attached)

I am running Windows 7 x64 on an Alienware M17x R2 with dual monitors.

Anyone else seeing this problem?  Any advice?

Stan

Re: UFT 11.52 crashes setting config options for Text Editor, Fonts and Colors

Hello,

This is more Win environment problem and not UFT problem.

Do you have this font in Control Panel (>Appearance and Personalization) > Fonts? If not, please find it and install it and check again the problem.

If you have it, just open it from there and then go again to UFT to check the problem.

Ana

Re: UFT 11.52 crashes setting config options for Text Editor, Fonts and Colors

[ Edited ]

I located a copy of Lucida Sans Regular and installed it on this computer, and it no longer crashes, so thank you for your advice!

After consulting Microsoft's website (http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/font.aspx?FMID=999), it appears that this font is not standard for Windows 7, only supplied with XP SP2 and some versions of Office, so perhaps it would be wise to change the default setting for UFT to not require it?

Of course, UFT should not crash because of a missing font so some correction seems appropriate for UFT.  I have opened Service Request 4647099023 on this item.

Thanks again for the suggestion.
