Programmed Buttons Aren't Working on Remote Phone Connected to Ingate

I have a call forward button that isn't working on a remote phone that registers to an Ingate's public ip.

When this phone was on the same LAN as the VCX it wasn't working.

Any idea why this is happening?

AFAIK the Ingate should just be passing all of it's messages to the VCX.

Re: Programmed Buttons Aren't Working on Remote Phone Connected to Ingate

Hi,

You indicated that the phone with Call Forward enabled also didn't work on the same LAN as the VCX? If that is correct, then the issue has nothing to do with the phone being registered to the Ingate. I suggest putting the phone back on the VCX LAN and getting a detailed call processor log to determine why the call forward isn't working. If the phone is forwarding to and/or from the PSTN, then a gateway log would also be necessary.

Sorry, I meant to say it was working when it was on the same LAN as the VCX.

Hi,

In that case, it would be a good idea to take a close look at the SIP logs on the Ingate to see what response it is getting from the VCX when the phone attempts the call forward. Also, there may be a setting in the Ingate somewhere that may affect SIP re-Invite messages or SIP Refer messages from the VCX.
