Best practices to size VSE server

Hello,
my customer is evaluating the opportunity to replace two old Tru64 Alphaservers (working as oracle dbservers) porting Oracle environment to hp-ux Virtual machines.
This is the first time I deal with this environment, I'm not be able to size the hp-ux server (BL860c bladeserver).
Is there any best practices to size the server ?

Thanks in advance
regards
Davide

Peruse the white papers found here for starters.
http://docs.hp.com/en/vse.html

Keep in mind that the big benefit from virtualization will be the sharing of the excess. Where you may have configured standalone servers with a % of fluff, all that % of fluff can now be shared amounst many IVMs lowering cost and fully utilizing more resource. ( although most cost savings from HW are now eaten by the cost of virtualization software ). Maybe the benefit is flexibility.?

Another note. If you have application that would hog over 70-80% or the resources they are better left as stand alones.
