Online db/application backup on Virtual Machine

Dear Gurus,

I am looking for some good suggestions to impliment our Live env on HP VM. Pls let me know best practice/method for online data backup. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

backup tools like dp, legato have their own modules to take online backup directly to tape. by using rman on the client side and a backup server on the other side is the most common use i think.
