Why HPVM does not have SAN/NAS best practices documents ?
HPVM - why we don't have SAN/NAS best practices documents? Also,no P2V best practices document...Compare this to Vmware's P2V bunch of docs and you will get an idea why they conquered the Virtualization domain.

Thank you for your comments
In the Admin Guide Chapter 6 highlights many of the issues to consider when connecting your HP-VM systems to SAN or direct attach storage.

In addition HP-UX and Integrity Virtual Machine supports NFS based storage
see Chapter 8 in the 4.3 Release notes:

In addition there will be a patch release (PK2) for Integrity Virtual Machine V4.3 out early next year that will bring in NPIV support. The HP-UX virtualization team is also working to have whitepapers on NPIV available in that early next year time frame as well.

The HP-UX Virtualization team is working on the development of an offline Physical to Virtual (P2V2P) solution for Integrity Virtual Machine and it will be released as part of of Insight SW v7.0 Matrix Operating Environment. This release was announced a few weeks ago at HP Discover and is targeting to ship in the first quarter of next year. Part of that effort is updating documentation including how P2V solutions on HP-UX are enabled and deployed. The solution will also feature a offline Physical to different Physical device device or as it's reffered to as P to P Prime (P2P'). this will enable offline movement of a workload between different types of devices. For example between and BL860c i2 and a BL870c i2.
