add disk to vpar

You don't add disks, you add HBAs.


If the HBA is already part of the vPar, the system can access the disk.

Same for the nPar - system has access to the HBA, hence it can access the connected disk.

so, in the npar, add disk or create vg its the same procedure that the vm. My confusion is very hard and i need resolve this problem.

in hpvm use hpvmmodify command to add disk. For example:
hpvmmodify -P VM -a disk:avio_stor::dsk:/dev/rdsk/c234tfg1

It is not clear what you have.


vPars or HPVM?


A nPar is just like a physical server - no difference at all.

If you connect a SCSI disk, you can access it.

Now you may have an internal hardware RAID, so you probably need to create a logical drive.

You really need to tell more details about your configuration (server model, disks, etc ...).


If you assign a LUN, you need to present it from an external array and zone it.

No "special" action on the server needed.
