FLASH DISK DRIVE FIRMWARE

We have an old box that is used for development...one of the 2GB drives went south. I dug up some old SCSI Seagate 4GB (ST15230N) drives that seem similar...I was able to format them using VOLUTIL on MPE. How can I upgrade the disk drive firmware to use these drives on my 9x8 6.5 PPIII MPE/iX box?

Re: FLASH DISK DRIVE FIRMWARE

Scott,

First thing to check is IODFAULT.PUB.SYS to see if the
required driver is installed on your system. If so, I believe that you should then be able to configure them in via sysgen. Are you sure that they are not ST15150W Seagates?

Not much help on this one.

Sorry,

Re: FLASH DISK DRIVE FIRMWARE

UPDATE: I was able to successfully mount the drives as members of my volume set. Right now I am restoring the system...it appears as if it may work without any further problems; will keep the thread posted.
