SQL servers encounters error while backups
Hello Experts,
Getting these alerts on SQL server, The impact of this issue is increased latency on any disk intensive operations on the CASHKNG server. For example, the SQL Server full backups usually take about 4.5 minutes to run but are now taking over 12 minutes. Overnight processing SQL Server procedures are now taking much longer to run than before the weekend – in some cases twice as long.
Messages in the SQL Server error log confirm these I/O delays, e.g. :
2016-08-17 08:24:47.73 spid2s SQL Server has encountered 1 occurrence(s) of I/O requests taking longer than 15 seconds to complete on file [E:\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data\CDS_Data.mdf] in database [CDS] (6). The OS file handle is 0x000008C8. The offset of the latest long I/O is: 0x0000041fe68000
2016-08-17 08:26:08.76 Server Process 56:0:4 (0x1d0) Worker 0x0C59C0E8 appears to be non-yielding on Scheduler 2. Thread creation time: 13115884501370. Approx Thread CPU Used: kernel 0 ms, user 0 ms. Process Utilization 1%. System Idle 75%. Interval: 70016 ms.
Will this Hotfix fix the issue?
