How to remove registry entries on Windows 2008 Server?

Hi,

I am trying to remove certain registry entries on a Windows 2008 Server. I am using a local user account with administrator privileges.
Every attempt to delete the registry keys gets a "permission denied" message.

10 points to any answer.
Thank you

If memory serves, one runs REGEDIT as administrator. Then it should work.

1) Try to check permissions on these entries
Probably local administrator have only read permissions on these entries. In such case you can modify permission in order to add full control to local admins groups
2) Try to take ownership on these entries
