PRM Shared Memory and 'prmconfig' attempts after initial system startup

We are using PRM to manage resources in an HPux 11.31 IA64 / Oracle 10.2 environment with FSS PRM groups - 2 groups for Oracle databases + OTHERS. The PRM Shared Memory resources are large Oracle SGAs. When trying to reconfigure some other non-Shared Memory resource(s) by a change to the PRM configuration and a subsequent 'prmconfig -i -f ' the following error appears:
"Configuration File () Error:
The total MBs requested for PRM Shared Memory plus 1 MB minimum for each for Memeory Groups "" exceeds the number of MBs available "" for allocation. Reduce the number of MBs or the number of groups requested. (PRM-2070)". If system total memory is increased so that the sum of the 2 Oracle SGA resources +2 MB, one for each of the Oracle PRMgroups, is less than some percentage of the system total memory, say 50%, will the 'prmconfig' command to apply CPU, private memory or disk IO share changes execute with the above error?
