We have 3 nPar's & each nPar have multiple vPar's in one of the Integrity Superdome.
We need to enable WLM in only one nPar. Is it possible to enable WLM in nPar level? If yes, is there any issue will happen in other nPar's in same complex?
Kindly advise on this.
Thanks
Shameem

SolutionAre you going to use wlm or gwlm ?
You can do it with both products with no problem, the other npars won't be affected. You will be able to share resources between vpars in the same npar as needed.

Re: Query About WLM
Yes. I want to share resources between the vpars of one npar in our complex
We are using WLM not gWLM.
Is there any HP document about this information?
Thanks

Re: Query About WLM
WLM works on npar 's based on icap (Instant Capacity ), and icap handles the pseudo core migration by deactivating core on one npar and activating it for the other npar.
In your case you are dealing with one nPar so the other npar will be unaffected.

Re: Query About WLM
Here you have very good docs on wlm:
http://docs.hp.com/en/netsys.html#HP-UX%20Workload%20Manager
and here there is a white paper on resizing partitions with wlm:
