sendmail

If you make a change in the /etc/mail/sendmail.cf file, do you need to issue any commands for the changes to go into effect.

Re: sendmail

Shawn,
Yes, you do need to restart the sendmail daemon. Basically just do a stop and a start, and your new settings will take effect.
BTW, Have you checked out sendmail.org? They've got a lot of good info.
Peace,
Mo
No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: sendmail

Use the following commands to stop/start the daemon.

/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start
