to de-activate mem

hello
is there a command in hpux (11.31) to de-activate memory in an npar config (i know that its available for cores, icapmodify -d <# of cpus>. Ffcourse i could be deactivating cellboards but thats not what am looking for).

There is no HP-UX command to take memory offline at the nPar level outside of dynamically removing the entire cell board.

Memory can only be deconfigured at the firmware level. Reboot the nPar, interrupt the boot sequence and then use one of the following commands to deconfigure a bank of DIMMs on a cell board:

For PA-RISC/BCH Menu> SER DD

For Itanium/EFI Shell> dimmconfig

Use the help commands to view command syntax.

I think you can deactivate the memory through parmgr (GUI mode) command. Please let me know the version.
