fcmsutil & "Number of assisted IOs"
Hi,
I've been wondering about what does "number of assisted IOs" output of 'fcmsutil' mean?
1) is it simply number of io serviced by this fc adapter?
2) can this incemental number mean (in performance sense) how loaded is such fc adapter?
3) if this is simply number of IOs for this fc (so, since there are 2 links, adding a value of both would mean total IO)?
4) since only a number of IOs does not give a full picture, is there a way to count / estimate size of those IOs (because only in this way I'd know if these IOs are painful or not, i.e. very many of small IOs might be acceptable and would not fill the bandwith, while small number of big IOs might fill the bandwith more)..
all this is to measure / check FC load...
or - maybe there are better tools/ways..?
thanks,
Mariusz
