Re: Warranty Lookup
http://www.hp.com/sbso/buspurchase_refurbished_faq.html#part_no
I had to drop the "R" and the #ABA. So DG061AR#ABA became DG061A. It appears to work now for me for product numbers like this one.
I wonder if only 6 characters will work. For example, DG286#AK6 becomes DG286A, or something like that. And PK225AA#ABD becomes PK225A. It may be worth a try anyway, since HP has ignored this problem.

Re: Warranty Lookup
If # is not acceptable on a web-based form, why can't HP simply reformat their Part Number numbering sequence such that it does not contain any # character ?
I'm also having problem entering the # character.
Ignoring the characters after # can't work.
Just entering the first 6 characters, can't work.
Its Live Chat also can't work. It give me this error :
error '80004005'
Unspecified error
/psgna/caller/chat.asp, line 55
Why has HP service degraded till such a lousy stage ?

Copy the entire URL.
Hopefully it will work for you too.
