HP procurve 6120 XG
Hi All!
we recently acquired a blade system on a C7000 enclosure, but did not came with the 1Gb HP pass-thru ethernet switch, instead came with a procurve 6120 XG switch, which does not have ethernet ports. the ports I can see resemble the ones that uses FC cables.
How do I connect that to a ethernet switch?

Re: HP procurve 6120 XG
You can either use a fiber transceiver (for example J4858C for multimode) and connect it to a fiber transceiver in your Ethernet switch, or you can buy a X121 transceiver which gives you a RJ45 port in the 6120XG.

Re: HP procurve 6120 XG
Hello,
Quickspecs here - http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04140206.pdf
scroll down for all of the options.
It would be well worth seeking out the latest version of software to put onto the switch before it goes into production.
Follow the Tech support / manuals link from the product page and use the Drivers / software / firmware link
Let us know how you get on.
Thanks
Ian

Re: HP procurve 6120 XG
Hi
we decided to change the fiber SFP on the switch, for ethernet SFP´s, so we are in the process of acquiring that.
