C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
Hi all,
New to the C7000 and blade servers in general. Ive come across an issue with my C7000 and the management not showing the blades that are installed. It is showing the installed CISCO switch however the blades that are installed are not seen. I have tried the second management card and restarting the enclosure however that has not resolved the issue. On the screen on the front of the enclosure it is showing that all of the blades are running correctly however they are not being recognised by the Onboard Administrator. The blades appear to not have network connectivity. This was working however when refreshing the Onboard Administrator page the blades were not seen however sometimes some of them are shown.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Re: C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
I would check the EBIPA section if the ILOs are getting an IP address.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
The blades that are currently in the server are:
14x BL460C G6 - Firmware version 1.81
2x BL460C G1 - Unknown Firmware version
The enclosure firmware is 2.60 on both of the management cards
I have since been able to log into the router and get the local IPs for the ILO2 that is in the blades and connect to them however the OA is still not showing them in the system.

Re: C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
First I would update the OA firmware version.
2.60 is probably from year 2010.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
>> BL460C G6 - Firmware version 1.81
This is probably the version of the ILO2.
Latest is 2.29, update them too.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: C7000 G2 Not Showing Blades
As this will be the first time that I have updated the firmware, can you just put the latest firmware from the blades and the enclosure together or do version versions work with each other? If I get the latest of both will it be alright? Ill read the documentation that is included with updating however (flicking through it) it does not show this in a detailed way.
