Connecting servers to external ports of HP BL SAS 6Gbps switches - would it work?

Hi! According HP 6Gb SAS BL Switch User Guide: The HP 6Gb SAS BL Switch supports the following types of devices: • “Shared SAS storage enclosures (P2000 G3 SAS MSA arrays)” (page 6) • “Zoned SAS storage enclosures (MDS600, D6000, and D2600/D2700 drive enclosures)” (page 6) • “Tape devices” (page 7) Quickspecs resource doesn't offer any new information. So I guess that this option is not supported. But... Actually it would be quite interesting in terms of flexibility of a HP Bladesystem configuration with SAS switches and storage like P2000 G3 when you can connect some of your DL servers with relevant SAS HBA to the switches and get the access to your SAS storage. Has anyone got information regarding this case? Someone might have an interesting experience about connection of external servers to SAS ports of HP BL SAS switches or useful links that could be useful. Thx.
