N+1 and N+N Power/Fan Redundancy in c7000 enclosure
Vamsi had a question on the c7000 redundancy capabilities:
************
Hi Team,
What are the other supported Power Redundancy Supported combinations in a C7000 enclosure which is fully populated and an Enclosure with just 12-13 Blades..
***********
Good input from Dan:
***********
Power Redundancy is:
N = No Redundancy
N+1 = Power Supply Redundant
N+N = AC Redundant
Fans are all rule based, you just need to check the OA User Guide to see what the rules are for your version of the OA.
The rules changed slightly at some point in the past.
OA 3.30 (I happened to have a copy handy) shows the following:
4 Fans = 4 Blades
6 Fans = 8 Blades
8 Fans = 16 Blades
10 Fans = 16 Blades
